Recently our Co-Founders Ed Faulkner and Ivo Devereux completed an epic 300 mile cycle, run and walk all the way from Essex to Devon in aid of the Juliet Garmoyle Fund and Place2Be.The mammoth journey involved 32 people and took 3 days of cycling, running a marathon and a massive group walk to complete the course.The money raised will go to the Juliet Garmoyle Fund and Place2Be which continue to roll out mental health services and therapy in schools all over the South West.If you want to find out more information or want to donate check out the Just Giving page here:https://lnkd.in/eVQMEurx

BRAND REFRESHAt Sapling, our products and ethos have always embodied positivity and generosity for both people and planet. For any strong brand, it’s essential that tone of voice, supporting assets, and wider brand guidelines tell the same story as your products. Sapling started 5 years ago with a clear mission to lead on sustainability in drinks. One of the ways we do this is by reducing waste. Enter the “Sapling Eco Box”Since the beginning we've used 5L bag in boxes to distribute our spirits to top bars and restaurants across the U.K. From these, bar tenders can refill and repurpose our 70cl bottles of Vodka or Gin without needing to purchase a new bottle. One bag in box is equivalent to 7.14 bottles so it means less ordering, less glass is produced, it's more cost effective and more CO2 is saved as the packaging is lighter and easier to transport.So far we have saved 255,000 glass bottles from ever being produced just by making a simple swap from bottles to refills!Would you use these if you owned a bar or restaurant?Cheers 🍸

On Earth Day we hosted our own Earth Month co*cktail Competition! 🌿🍸The main focus of the competition was to challenge bar tenders to think about their drink in a sustainable way. One of the most wasteful elements of a drink is the garnish, so this was the aspect in which we challenged them to be their most creative and innovative making sure that zero waste was produced. Our finalists had to create a delicious climate positive co*cktail using 30ml of any Sapling spirit and one zero waste element and wow there were some incredible entries!The participants were competing for a chance to win a two night stay for two atTHE PIG Hotel, two tickets to our Wild Days Out events and three bottles of our spirits.The competition was judged by award-winning bartenderPaul Minea along side ourTidge Aydin,Ed Faulkner andIvo Devereux.After battling it out only five co*cktail connoisseurs made it to the final.And winners are...1️⃣ Sam RussellChristinas Shoreditch2️⃣ Ryan SaundersMexican Seoul East London3️⃣ Josh HowleyGaucho LeedsThank you to everyone that applied and congratulations to Sam, Ryan and Josh!Cheers! 🥂#earthday
